Hay Flower Blossoms for Baths and Compresses
Hay flower blossoms offer a versatile range of traditional external applications. They can be used to prepare poultices, wraps and hay sacks, as well as added to baths and steam treatments. Hay flower blossoms can also be used for local heat applications.
Hay flower blossoms (Flores graminis) are a natural mixture of seeds, small stems, leaf pieces and blossoms from a variety of meadow plants, including different species of clover and sweet grasses. To obtain the blossoms, the finer plant parts are separated from the coarser hay.
Traditionally used in baths and poultices, hay flower blossoms are valued for soothing heat and relaxation treatments.
Vita Natura Hay Flowers are responsibly sourced from selected meadows and carefully processed to preserve their natural quality.

Vita Natura Hay Flower Applications
Local Heat Treatment
1–2 times daily as a moist heat compress for external application.
Fold the required quantity of hay flower blossoms into a linen cloth and pour warm water at 40–45 °C over the cloth. Close the cloth securely and place the compress on the intended area of the body. Cover the compress with an additional cloth and leave it in place for 40–50 minutes.
For hygiene reasons, dispose of the hay flower blossoms after each application. Do not reuse.
Hay Flower Sitz Steam Bath
For a sitz steam bath, fill a pot with boiling water and add 30–50 g of hay flower blossoms.
Place the pot in a bidet or other suitable seating device. After allowing the water to cool briefly, carefully position yourself above the pot and allow the steam to act for approximately 10 minutes.
Important: Before and during the application, carefully check the temperature of the steam and the pot to prevent scalding. Ensure that the steam is at a comfortable temperature before proceeding.
